- Quick TN Search -

This function is only located on the Home screen and is used to find general information about a single TN.  If additional details about the TN are needed, click the Actions link at the bottom of the Search Results section to see all the details for the TN.

  • Use numeric characters only; no alpha characters are allowed.
  • Spaces between the digits of a TN are prohibited, but the digits of a TN can be separated by special characters (i.e. dashes, periods, parenthesis).  For example, 914 823 6682 is invalid, but 914-823-6682 is valid,  (914) 823-6682 is invalid but (914)823-6682 is valid.

- TN Search -

Search for a single TN.

- Import File -

Import a file containing TNs. The file must be in .xls, .xlsx, .csv, or .txt format.  Click Browse and find the file or if you prefer, type the path and file name directly in the box.

General formatting requirements are:

  • TNs must be 10 numeric characters. No alpha or text characters are allowed as TNs. For example, avoid entering 914-823-NOVA. Spaces between the digits of a TN are prohibited, but the digits of a TN can be separated by special characters (i.e. dashes or periods). For example, 914 823 6682 is invalid, but 914-823-6682 is valid.
  • The first three digits of a TN can be enclosed in parentheses, as in (914)823-6682.
  • 800, 900, and international numbers are not allowed
  • A maximum of 1000 TNs can be included in a single query.
  • If the wrong format is used for any of the TNs, the file will produce a validation error. The file needs to be fixed in order for the query to run.
  • Multiple TNs can be listed on separate lines or along the same line (as long as multiple TNs are separated by spaces or commas). Multiple TNs must be separated by commas or spaces; no other punctuation marks are allowed.
  • Ranges of contiguous TNs are allowed. The ending four digits of a range must be greater than the previous four digits. For example, suppose the TN is 914-632-7200. The last four digits can be 7300 but not 7100. in a spreadsheet, the TN and its ending digits must be in contiguous columns of the spreadsheet. For example, to query 703-209-0001 to 1000, put 703-209-0001 in A1 and 1000 in B1.

For .xls files and .xlsx files:

General requirements plus:

  • No column headings or labels are allowed.
  • TNs do not have to be aligned the same way; i.e., some TNs can be left aligned, others right-aligned, and others centered.
  • One TN or TN range per cell.
  • Headers and footers are allowed.
  • No commas, semicolons, or other punctuation marks are allowed.
  • TN ranges: The TN and its ending digits must be in contiguous columns of the spreadsheet. For example, to query 703-209-0001 to 1000, put 703-209-0001 in A1 and 1000 in B1. Commas and spaces between the TNs of a range are prohibited.

.csv files and .txt files

General requirements plus:

  • Format for TN ranges: Enter the TN followed by a space or comma and then the ending four digits. For example, 571-203-0001,1000 or 571-203-0001 1000.

- Thousands Block Report -

Enter a specific NPA-NXX-X and this query returns TNs within a pooled block that have been ported. These TNs are in use and thus unavailable for pooling, and contribute to the level of contamination of the pool.

  • Spaces between the digits of a block are prohibited, but the digits of a block can be separated by special characters (i.e. dashes or periods). For example, 914 823 6 is invalid, but 914-823-6 is valid.
  • The first three digits of a Block can be enclosed in parentheses, as in (914)823-7

- Code Report -

Enter a specific NPA-NXX and this query returns code and block information for a specific code.

  • Spaces between the digits of a code are prohibited, but the digits of a code can be separated by special characters (i.e. dashes or periods). For example, 914 823 is invalid, but 914-823 is valid.
  • The first three digits of a code can be enclosed in parentheses, as in (914)823

- TN Query Results -

The results of TN queries identify the code owner, current owner of the TN (if the TN has been pooled or ported) and code/block information as well as other details, such as the SV Type. The results of basic TN queries are displayed in a table that contains six (6) tabs which group similar data elements into categories.

- Ownership TAB -

Details about the owner of the phone number are returned for every TN query run in Port PS.  If the note "NPA-NXX for this TN has not been opened in the NPAC " is displayed in the table, the TN is a Native number and has not been pooled. Open the Code/Block Info tab and look at the NANPA Code Owner information to determine the owner of the TN.  The following data elements are displayed:

- Code/Block Info TAB -

The Code/Block Info TAB contains code and block level information for each TN in the query. It is important to note that while this tab is displayed using TNs as the identifier, the information in it is at the Code and Block Level even when the TN has been ported. All TNs with the same Block (NPA-NXX-X) will have the same block data element information. All TNs with the same Code (NPA-NXX) will have the same code data element information. For example, given the following TNs: 516-244-1234, 516-244-1573, 516-244-4567 and 516-581-2345

  • 516-244-1234 and 516-244-1573 will have the same block data elements and the same code data elements
  • 516-244-1234, 516-244-1573, 516-244-4567 will have the same code data elements, but 516-244-4567 will have different block data elements from the other two TNs (assuming the code and block owners are different).
  • 516-581-2345 has different code and block data elements from the other TNs.

The following data elements are displayed:
