RIMS Validation Errors Help

RIMS displays a validation error when entered data does not match the business rules for ordering blocks and codes.

Following is a list of the validation errors you are most likely to see and the actions you can take in response. This list is sorted alphabetically by Validation Error.

 

  Validation Error Issue Action to Take
1. Block Effective Date must be future date You have entered a Block Effective Date that is in the past. Enter a Block Effective Date that is at least 31 days in the future from today but less than 6 months away.
2. Block Effective Date should be after 31 business days from today for Block # {0} You have entered a Block Effective Date that is less than 31 days from today's date. Enter a Block Effective Date that is at least 31 days in the future from today but less than 6 months away.
3. Block Effective Date should be within 6 months from today's date for Block # {0} You have entered a Block Effective Date that is further away than 6 months in the future. Enter a Block Effective Date that is at least 31 days in the future from today but less than 6 months away.
4. Block Number is required for approved task You did not enter the NPA-NXX-X on the part 3 for a line where you entered a status of Approved. Either change the status from Approved to Withdrawn or Denied or enter the NPA-NXX-X on the Part 3 for the Approved line.
5. Current Forecast (minus Requested Quantity) is ({0}). It must be greater than the number of requested blocks ({1}) for OCN {2} Rate Center {3}. You have requested more blocks this month for a specific OCN, Rate Center, and NPA than have been forecasted. Reduce the number of blocks requested in the order or increase the forecast amount for this OCN, Rate Center, and NPA.
6. Effective Date #{0} is required for Approved status You have not entered a Block Effective Date for the Approved Block Either enter a Block Effective Date for the Block, or change the status of the Block to a status other than Approved.
7. Effective Date #{0} must be empty for Denied or Withdrawn status You have entered a Block Effective Date for a block that has been given a status of Denied or Withdrawn. Only Blocks with a status of Approved should have a Block Effective Date. Either remove the Block Effective Date for the Block or change the status of the Block to Approved.
8. Existing code or block {0} found for OCN {1} and Rate Center {2}. You must create a Growth order. An existing block is found for the selected OCN and Rate Center. Either change the OCN or rate center to one with no existing blocks or use the Growth request option.
9. Forecast must be set for OCN {0} Rate Center {1}. You have not entered a forecast for the selected OCN, Rate Center, and NPA for this month. Enter a forecast for the OCN, Rate Center, and NPA.
10. Invalid Block Effective Date for Block # {0} You have entered an invalid Block Effective date. Enter a valid Block Effective Date in the format of MM/DD/YYYY.
11. Invalid forecast value for the month {0} and rate center {1}. Forecast must be numeric. You have entered an invalid forecast value. Enter a numeric forecast value that is greater than zero.
12. Invalid Forecast Values. Forecast total should be greater than zero. You have entered an invalid forecast value. Enter a numeric forecast value that is greater than zero.
13. Invalid HomeTandemClli You have entered an invalid Homing Tandem CLLI. Enter a valid 11 digit Homing Tandem CLLI.
14. Invalid Homing Tandem Operating Company You have entered an invalid Homing Tandem Operating Company. You must enter an 11 digit Homing Tandem Operating Company value.
15. Invalid Switch/CLLI for Block # {0}    
16. LRN is required for Block # {0} You have not selected an LRN for the block. Select an LRN from the dropdown list.
17. No existing code or block found for OCN {0} and Rate Center {1}. You must create an Initial order. No existing block is found for the selected OCN and Rate Center. Either change the OCN or Rate Center to one with existing blocks or use the Initial request option.
18. NPA-NXX-X #{0} must be empty for Denied or Withdrawn status You have entered a Block Effective Date for a block that has been given a status of Denied or Withdrawn. Only Blocks with a status of Approved should have a Block Effective Date. Either remove the Block Effective Date for the Block or change the status of the Block to Approved.
19. NPA-NXX-X #{0} must consist of seven digits You have entered an invalid NPA-NXX-X. Enter an NPA-NXX-X in the format of NPA-NXX-X.
20. NPA-NXX-X {0} must be unique You have entered the same NPA-NXX-X more than once which is not allowed. Remove one of the duplicate NPA-NXX-X values.
21. LATA is required for block # {0} You have not selected a LATA for the block. Select a LATA from the dropdown list.
22. LATA is required. (code) You have not selected a LATA for the code. Select a LATA from the dropdown list.
23. Number of Requested Blocks {0} is greater than the current number of Available blocks {1} for NPA {2} and Rate Center {3} You have requested more blocks than have been forecasted for the OCN, Rate Center, and NPA. Increase the forecasted amount for the OCN, Rate Center, and NPA.
24. Number of Requested Blocks is a required field You did not enter the number of Blocks Requested. Select the number of Blocks requested from the Dropdown list.
25. Please enter valid numbers for Forecast months 1 to 12 You have not entered a forecast amount from each month 1 -12 and these are required fields. Enter a forecast amount for each month, 1 – 12.
26. Please enter a valid number for Assigned Number You did not enter a value in the Assigned Number field and this is a required field. Enter the number of assigned numbers in the Assigned Number field.
27. Please enter a valid number for Available Number You did not enter a value in the  Assigned Numbers field and this is a required field. Enter the number of available numbers in the Available numbers field.
28. Please enter a valid number for Quantity of numbers activated You did not enter a value in the Quantity of Numbers activated in the past 90 days and excluded from the utilization calculation and this is a required field. Enter the quantity of numbers activated in the past 90 days and excluded from the utilization calculation in the Quantity of Numbers activated in the past 90 days and excluded from the utilization calculation field.
29. Please enter a valid number for Total Numbering Resources You did not enter a value in the Total Numbering Resources field and it is a required field. Enter the total numbering resources in the C. Total Numbering Resources field.
30. Please enter numerics only for calculate growth factor percentage. You entered a percentage value in the Calculate Growth Factor Percentage field rather than a flat numeric value. Enter a flat numeric value rather than a percentage value in the Calculate Growth Factor Percentage field. i.e. Enter 10 not 10% or -10 not -10%.
31. Please enter valid numbers for Growth History months 1 to 6 You have not entered a growth history amount from each month 1 -6 and these are required fields. Enter a growth history amount for each month, 1 – 6.
32. Quantity activated in past should not exceed Total Number of Resources You entered a value in the Quantity of Numbers activated in the past 90 days and excluded from the utilization calculation that is higher than the value entered in the total Numbering Resources field. Lower the value in the Quantity of Numbers activated in the past 90 days and excluded from the utilization calculation so that it does not exceed the Total Numbering Resources.
33. Select Valid Initial or Growth You did not designate the request as an Initial or Growth request. Select Initial or Growth from the drop down list.
34. Select Valid OCN You did not enter an OCN. Select an OCN from the dropdown list.
35. SPID is required for Block Number # {0} You did not select a SPID for the block. Select a SPID from the dropdown list for the block.
36. Total Number of Resources should not be less than total of available numbers and assigned numbers The total number of resources entered does not equal the sum of the Available Numbers and the Assigned Numbers. Update the Total Numbering Resources value to equal the sum of the values in Available Numbers and  Assigned Numbers by updating the values in those fields.
37. You have requested more blocks than you will exhaust in six months The MTE, based on the submitted forecast indicates that you will not use the blocks requested in 6 months. Change the forecast amount to less blocks and then change the MTE to match the forecast or order less blocks.
38. Your utilization calculates to {0} % The FCC required utilization is 75.000% You are not allowed to order any more blocks if the Assigned numbers is not 75% of the total number of resources. Update the values in the Assigned Number and Available Number so that the value in the Assigned Number is at least 75% of the Total Numbering Resources field.
